This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on connecting and reusing content from third-party systems within the Contentful platform.
The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL, while developing on a modern cloud infrastructure using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Responsibilities For Backend Software Engineer
- Work on the Content Platform team responsible for Connecting & Reusing Content
- Enable customers to connect content from 3rd party systems within the Contentful platform
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Solve complex engineering and Content Modelling problems
- Enhance REST and GraphQL API experiences
- Contribute to AI integration initiatives
- Develop on Platform with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Requirements For Backend Software Engineer
- Experience in designing, building, and delivering robust distributed systems, REST APIs and event-driven architectures
- Strong knowledge and commercial experience working with server-side JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js) and TypeScript
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to mentor less seasoned engineers
- Familiarity with automated deployment processes (CI/CD) and version control (Git)
- Excellent English communication skills
- Knowledge of functional programming principles, GraphQL and serverless applications (plus)
