Description For Senior Solution Engineer
Contentful exists to help our customers deliver compelling customer experiences with content at the heart of the conversation. As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping our customers and prospects understand the role of content in a modern composable digital landscape. You will work with Account Executives through key phases of the sales cycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, solution design sessions, interactive trials, and proofs of concept. You'll build relationships with customer stakeholders, become a trusted advisor, and help navigate the digital marketing technology landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Becoming proficient in Contentful's value propositions, products, and demo presentation framework
- Understanding the Content Management competitive landscape
- Creating deep relationships across the business
- Co-piloting sales opportunities and impacting sales revenue
- Validating and illustrating how Contentful can help customers with digital transformation
- Assisting with RFIs, RFPs, and Security questionnaires
- Relaying product feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales
- Providing mentorship to other Solution Engineers
- Traveling onsite with customers when necessary (up to 50%)
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of solution engineering experience selling cloud solutions to Marketing, IT, and Development audiences
- Strong presentation skills and ability to convey business and technical concepts
- High emotional intelligence to navigate meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity for how technology drives change and business value
- Experience with digital marketing functions and KPIs
- Desirable skills include experience with frontend development, Content Management Platforms, and understanding of MACH products and Composable architectures

Responsibilities For Senior Solution Engineer
- Co-pilot sales opportunities with Account Executives

Requirements For Senior Solution Engineer
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a comparable field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
- 3-5 years solution engineering experience selling cloud solutions to a Marketing audience OR 3-5 years of experience performing a Digital Marketing function
- Understanding of Digital Marketing function, KPIs, and how content powers a Marketing strategy
- Strong presentation skills
- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Intellectual curiosity for how technology drives change and business value
