Software Engineer - Marketplace

As a Software Engineer on Contentful's Marketplace Ecosystem team, you will play a vital role in enhancing and supporting our App Marketplace and App Framework, enabling impactful extensibility for both internal and external developers.

You will design, develop, and maintain the App Marketplace, including building in-house apps, improving external developer contributions with a focus on security, and enhancing the app framework. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address the needs and challenges of our customers and partners, working toward solutions that improve productivity and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Improving the Contentful App Marketplace, focusing on usability, developer experience, security, and accessibility.
• Streamlining external contributions and reducing friction without compromising security.
• Developing tools and frameworks to enhance the end-to-end development process.
• Contributing to the App Framework and actively engaging with feedback to implement enhancements.
• Staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Understanding customer challenges and helping to drive product vision.

The ideal candidate should have experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React, knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and tools, and interest in software infrastructure and tooling (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes). Strong communication skills, passion for collaboration, and curiosity about AI integration are also important.
