This role is crucial in maintaining and evolving large-scale infrastructure for industry-leading analytics and UX solutions. The position involves managing critical services processing vast amounts of data, including Kafka clusters, Aerospike databases, and various AWS/Azure managed services.
The ideal candidate will serve as a senior technical authority, combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise. Responsibilities For Staff Platform Engineer
- Serve as a senior technical authority guiding infrastructure strategy, architecture, and best practices
- Partner with engineering teams to design and build scalable platform solutions
- Mentor and lead technical teams
- Manage managed services ensuring uptime, performance, and efficiency
- Lead initiatives to improve system reliability and scalability
- Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks
- Develop tooling for managing Kafka, Aerospike, and other services
- Optimize platform performance and capacity planning
Requirements For Staff Platform Engineer
- 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure and platform services in cloud environments
- Expert knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS and/or Azure)
- Deep understanding of Kafka, Aerospike, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Experience developing scalable automation solutions
- Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or equivalent
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and mentoring technical teams
