Description For Audio Visual A1- Audio Engineer

The A1 Audio Engineer at Convene is responsible for managing and operating all aspects of audio production to ensure excellent meeting, conference, and workday experiences for clients. This role involves setting up, configuring, and operating sound systems, as well as ensuring high-quality audio experiences for guests. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in audio engineering, a keen ear for sound, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Audio setup and operation for live events
  • Sound quality management
  • Troubleshooting audio issues
  • Collaboration with event coordinators and production teams
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Technical support
  • Documentation of setups and inventory
  • Safety compliance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an A1 Audio Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency in operating audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, and Dante Network management
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong ear for sound quality
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred

Convene offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, plus eligibility for an annual incentive performance bonus plan.
