As a Senior Frontend Engineer at CookUnity, you'll be part of a team developing and enhancing customer-facing web applications. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver smooth and dynamic user interfaces. The role involves architecting and implementing new features using ReactJS and NextJS, optimizing web applications for performance and scalability, and ensuring consistent design across devices.
Our tech stack includes JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, NextJS, and Apollo GraphQL. We use tools like Storybook, Jest, and Cypress for testing, and our infrastructure is based on AWS with monitoring through DataDog and Segment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing new features on the CookUnity web platform
- Optimizing web applications for performance and user experience
- Ensuring responsive design across devices and browsers
- Integrating frontend functionality with backend APIs
- Contributing to design systems and reusable components
- Staying current with frontend technologies and trends
- Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers
We're looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in frontend development, strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and Redux, and experience with modern frontend build tools. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and UI/UX best practices is essential.

Responsibilities For Senior Frontend Engineer
- Architect and implement new features on the CookUnity web platform using ReactJS and NextJS
- Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and user experience
- Ensure consistent and responsive design across different devices and browsers
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend functionality with backend APIs
- Contribute to the development of design systems and reusable components
- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends
- Participate in the code review process and mentor junior engineers
- Help improve test coverage and automate frontend testing using tools like Jest and Cypress
Requirements For Senior Frontend Engineer
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on frontend development
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS, and Redux
- Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with performance optimization techniques and responsive design
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodologies
