Responsibilities For Data Center Design and Performance Engineer
- Evaluate efficiency, reliability, and engineering design of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life-safety systems
- Define scope for testing and commissioning of data center systems
- Provide final quality assurance sign-off for engineered systems
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering for custom engineering solutions
- Support sales process for complex opportunities
- Assess and optimize installed systems efficiency
- Review and approve engineering modifications
- Provide engineering support to Data Center Operations
- Ensure quality control for Operations teams
- Support commissioning activities
- Maintain documentation for design, procurement, and operational standards
Requirements For Data Center Design and Performance Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data center operations and design
- In-depth knowledge of data center design, operations, and infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work 40% on-site and travel up to 40%
- Strong strategic problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate test equipment
- Commitment to pursuing relevant certifications (LEED AP, CDCDP)
