Responsibilities For Data Center Design and Performance Engineer

  • Evaluate efficiency, reliability, and engineering design of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life-safety systems
  • Define scope for testing and commissioning of data center systems
  • Provide final quality assurance sign-off for engineered systems
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering for custom engineering solutions
  • Support sales process for complex opportunities
  • Assess and optimize installed systems efficiency
  • Review and approve engineering modifications
  • Provide engineering support to Data Center Operations
  • Ensure quality control for Operations teams
  • Support commissioning activities
  • Maintain documentation for design, procurement, and operational standards

Requirements For Data Center Design and Performance Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data center operations and design
  • In-depth knowledge of data center design, operations, and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work 40% on-site and travel up to 40%
  • Strong strategic problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate test equipment
  • Commitment to pursuing relevant certifications (LEED AP, CDCDP)
