Senior (Lead) Design System Engineer

Cover Genius, a Series E insurtech company, is seeking a Senior (Lead) Design System Engineer to spearhead the development of their enterprise-wide UI component library and Design System website. This pivotal role reports to the Director of Engineering and works closely with the Design team. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be the technical owner of their web components-based GUI framework and Design System implementation.

The role involves working at the intersection of design and engineering, driving adoption, documentation, and evolution of the Design System while collaborating with an established Design team and engaged engineers. The company already has a strong foundation with the Design System used by the Design Team in Figma and a community of developers. As the first full-time engineer dedicated to this initiative, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of UI development across the organization, with plans to grow the Design System engineering team in 2025.
