Description For Site Reliability Engineer

Cprime is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Managed Services team. This role combines technical expertise with customer service, focusing on supporting and managing client-hosted cloud applications and accounts. The position requires strong experience with Linux systems, AWS infrastructure, and the Atlassian tool suite.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining application availability, implementing infrastructure changes, and developing automated monitoring solutions. They will work directly with clients to address technical needs and proactively solve problems before they become critical. The role involves collaboration with solution architects and other technical experts to design and implement robust system architectures.

Key technical requirements include 3+ years of Linux experience, proficiency with AWS services, and expertise with the Atlassian stack. The position demands knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools, DevOps practices, and database technologies. The role also requires participation in 24/7 support coverage with weekend rotations.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer

  • Maintain application availability, stability, and ability to scale
  • Implement changes to applications and infrastructure as needed
  • Monitor architecture through automation and custom solutions
  • Work directly with clients to facilitate requests and proactively address issues
  • Standardize best practices and create highly scalable processes
  • Collaborate with solution architects on design and implementation
  • Provide 24/7/365 support coverage, including on-call weekend rotations

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer

  • At least 3 years of experience with Linux OS (Ubuntu/CentOS)
  • Experience with Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
  • At least 2 years of experience in AWS system administration
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, EBS, S3)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (ELK, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with DevOps (CI/CD) tools and solutions
  • Knowledge of security requirements (SOC, PCI, HIPAA)
  • Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
