Description For Founding (Full-Stack) Engineer

CrowdVolt is an innovative YC-backed startup revolutionizing the ticket exchange industry, focusing initially on raves and electronic dance music concerts. Recently graduated from Y Combinator and secured a $1.8M+ seed round, the company is experiencing rapid growth. As their first full-time engineer, you'll work directly with the CTO and existing team members to build and scale their ticket exchange platform.

The role demands a passionate engineer who's ready to work across the entire stack, from frontend to backend development. You'll be responsible for creating responsive interfaces, architecting backend systems, and building web scraping infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be intensely curious about software engineering, have hands-on project experience, and be comfortable with technologies like Python, React, NextJS, and Postgres.

CrowdVolt values fast shipping, radical transparency, and data-driven decision-making. While they offer competitive compensation ($120K-$180K with 0.50%-2.00% equity) and comprehensive benefits, they're upfront about expectations - this isn't a standard 40-hour week position. They're seeking someone passionate about execution, willing to work hard, and excited to join a fast-moving startup environment.

The company is currently focused on the New York market with plans for expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to have real impact, grow as an engineer, and be part of a promising startup's journey. The role offers a unique blend of technical challenges, ownership opportunities, and exposure to the exciting world of event ticketing and entertainment.
