Senior Software Engineer, tvOS

We are the tvOS team at Crunchyroll, a globally distributed, fully remote team with a mission to provide the best premium streaming service for anime fans in their living rooms. As a Senior Software Engineer for tvOS, you will work closely with the engineering manager, tech lead, and cross-functional partners to identify business needs and create technical design documents. You'll develop algorithms, write high-quality optimized code, identify tech debt, troubleshoot, and enhance the existing codebase. You'll analyze user feedback to optimize software performance and create technical documentation. This role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager for tvOS and is open to fully remote within the United States.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing new features across Crunchyroll tvOS
• Coordinating with team lead on technical designs and technology decisions
• Ensuring top-notch code quality through active participation in code reviews
• Providing technical expertise and contributing to team culture

Requirements:

• Desire to build premium anime viewing experience on tvOS
• Minimum 5-8 years of development experience in Apple platforms
• Experience building consumer applications using Swift and UIKit / SwiftUI
• Leadership quality working with cross-functional partners
• Courage to question the status quo and push boundaries
