Crunchyroll, a leading anime streaming platform serving over 100 million fans worldwide, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Enterprise Technology team in Hyderabad. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the Digital Content Supply Chain (DSC) and workflow automation systems that power their modern media supply chain platform.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 12+ years of software development experience, particularly in building scalable, serverless solutions and working with technologies like Python, MongoDB, and cloud platforms. You'll be responsible for creating and enhancing video asset workflow management systems, developing efficient services for media asset automation, and ensuring optimal content delivery to fans worldwide.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of content delivery and technology, building systems that handle video ingestion, encoding, transcoding, and playback with quality control. The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in cloud computing, containerization, and distributed systems while serving a passionate global anime community.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with high-level APIs, abstraction layers, and cloud native infrastructure. Knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker is highly valued, as is familiarity with Digital Supply Chain and Media Assets Management.   • Develop efficient services for media asset workflow automation
  • Lead new features and maintain consumer-facing services
  • Collaborate with teams for content ingestion, management, and distribution

  • 12+ years of high level API, abstraction layers, and application software development experience
  • 5+ years experience building scalable, serverless solutions in GCP or AWS

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and streaming data services
  • Experience building cloud native infrastructure, serverless architecture, micro-operations
  • Experience with modern high-level languages including Javascript, MongoDB, and Python
  • Experience in Github, Gitlab, CI/CD, Jira, unit testing, integration testing
  • Expertise with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization
