Data Engineer

Crusoe Energy is seeking an ambitious, motivated, and experienced Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team. The role involves building distributed data pipelines serving multiple teams, communicating with stakeholders, and owning technical initiatives to provide efficient analytical and reporting capabilities.

As a Data Engineer at Crusoe, you will be responsible for:

• Building, maintaining, and supporting innovative data engineering solutions
• Developing data solutions to process events and aggregate metrics
• Maintaining source code in git and building UDF libraries
• Creating dashboards for colleagues with varying technical expertise
• Collaborating with Software Engineering teams on data models and formats
• Communicating project status and planning future engineering projects
• Enabling self-service through intuitive and easy-to-use systems
• Defining and implementing data engineering standards and practices

The ideal candidate will have:

• Expertise in designing and implementing data solutions in dynamic environments
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Experience with data visualization tools, SQL, ETL, data modeling, and programming languages
• Knowledge of data warehouse system design and data pipeline operations
• Comfort with git, CI/CD, and command-line work
• Experience with ticketing software and issue tracking
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and easily switch context
• Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and influence peers
