The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical design deliverables, reviewing project materials, performing calculations, and working with various teams on improvement opportunities. The role requires solid knowledge of NEC, low voltage power distribution systems, load calculations, and computer-aided design software. Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and programmable devices is preferred.

Responsibilities For Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Create electrical design deliverables (one-line diagrams, control schematics, submittal packages, bill of materials)
  • Confirm accuracy of project materials quoted to customers
  • Perform branch circuits and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with Production, Procurement, Project Management and Sales teams on continuous improvement opportunities
  • Design and document electrical schematics and power distribution systems
  • Perform load calculations on machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A

Requirements For Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment
  • Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Solid knowledge of low voltage (600 volts and below) power distribution systems
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (ACADE)
  • Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing and documentation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of programmable devices (PLCs, motion-control, human-machine interfaces, and instrumentation)
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams
  • Must be able to pass a background check
