Description For Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Admin and Infrastructure Management

Crusoe Energy is seeking Senior/Staff Software Engineers to design and develop internal admin tooling and infrastructure management systems for Crusoe Cloud, a leading cloud provider. The role involves building and improving tools for customer success, site reliability engineering (SRE), and engineering teams, as well as creating automation software to efficiently bring server hardware, switches, and other infrastructure components online.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing advanced internal tooling solutions
  • Creating automation software for rapid deployment of infrastructure
  • Mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews
  • Implementing features to streamline infrastructure management
  • Collaborating with cloud support and operations teams
  • Leading by example in technical excellence

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Expertise in modern compiled languages like Go, Rust, Java, or C++
  • Experience in architecture and design of scalable systems
  • Strong computer science fundamentals
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, infrastructure tools, and Unix/Linux environments
  • Excellent communication skills
