Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Cloud Customer Experience

Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields.

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for Cloud Customer Experience, you will help design and scale our carbon-reducing cloud computing platform. With Crusoe Cloud's upcoming public launch, you will advance storage infrastructure, virtualize cutting-edge computing hardware, and build out best-in-class networking capabilities. You'll evaluate tools and frameworks, considering reliability, scalability, operational costs, ease of adoption, and recruiting implications. Your responsibilities include developing technical assessments, mentoring engineers, and contributing to their development.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with tooling and customer success teams to design advanced solutions for Crusoe Cloud
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough code reviews
• Implement market-making features that set Crusoe Cloud apart from competitors
• Work with cloud support and operations teams to create features supporting business growth
• Lead by example in technical excellence and innovation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with modern compiled languages (Go, Rust, Java, or C++)
• Experience in architecture and design of scalable systems
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and algorithm design
• Experience with building fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Understanding of infrastructure design and operational trade-offs
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, build systems, and modern infrastructure tools
• Experience with concurrency, multi-threading, and Unix/Linux environments
• Network programming knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
