The role focuses on managing fleet operations and developing foundational tools for server provisioning, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure operations, developing automation tools, and leading the transition to Kubernetes-based systems. They will handle large-scale deployments of 80-100 servers simultaneously and troubleshoot complex hardware issues, particularly with GPUs. The role requires expertise in Linux, server provisioning, and containerization technologies.
Crusoe offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $183,000 to $210,000, plus Restricted Stock Units. Responsibilities For Senior Infrastructure Engineer
- Manage and maintain day-to-day operations of Crusoe's cloud infrastructure
- Develop automation tools to streamline server provisioning and reduce SLA times
- Scale infrastructure to support mass deployments (80-100 servers simultaneously)
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, especially with GPUs, and liaise with vendors
- Transition Crusoe's environment to Kubernetes and containerized workflows
Requirements For Senior Infrastructure Engineer
- Solid hardware experience and GPU troubleshooting expertise
- Strong Linux background
- Knowledge of PXE booting and server provisioning (bare metal)
- Experience with BMC/IPMI, BIOS, and enterprise-grade server management
- Kubernetes proficiency (admin or developer)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker preferred)
- Experience with version control systems (Gitlab)
- Problem solving skills
