Senior Backend Developer - Innovation

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Innovation team at Crypto.com. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various new ventures projects that are adjacent to our core businesses. These projects are bootstrapped fast with a lean team. You will be actively involved in the design and development of backend components for scalable applications, focusing on server-side logic, cache/database management, and API integration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Backend development, proposing architectural decisions, participating in designs, design review, code review, and implementation of products bridging Crypto.com to developers and end-users
• Developing prototypes for new ideas proposed by you and the team
• Taking ownership of your projects, with the freedom to try out different technologies
• Identifying issues and implementing solutions to complex problems in large-scale backend infrastructure and mobile platforms
• Managing documentation of all code and functionalities implemented
• Working closely with DevOps and mobile engineers to improve tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives

We're looking for someone with:

• 5-8+ years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in handling scalability, security, and performance
• Advanced knowledge and extensive experience with server-side programming languages (e.g., NestJS, Node.js, Python, Java)
• Interest in building first-class products to solve real-world problems
• A self-motivated attitude, fast learning ability, and a "get things done" mentality
• Humility to embrace better ideas from others and openness to challenges and possibilities
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Additional skills that would be advantageous:

• Understanding of Blockchain technology
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., Next.js, React.js)
• Experience with AI code generation tools (e.g., Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, cursor.com, aider)
• Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android)
• Experience in blockchain development (e.g., Ethermint, Cosmos SDK)
