Description For Field Engineer - Solar Construction

CS Energy, a leading renewable energy EPC company, is seeking a Field Engineer for their solar construction projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career in renewable energy construction management, primarily working on projects along the East Coast of the United States.

The role combines hands-on field experience with project management responsibilities, requiring travel and temporary relocation to various project sites. As a Field Engineer, you'll work alongside Project Operations and Field Management teams to ensure the successful execution of renewable energy projects, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include managing engineering processes, handling project documentation, conducting quality inspections, and assisting with financial tracking and procurement. You'll be involved in daily operations, from material inspections to coordinating with subcontractors, while maintaining detailed project records and participating in team meetings.

The position offers comprehensive benefits including competitive salary ($70,000-$75,000), medical benefits, 401k matching, and various bonus programs. Responsibilities For Field Engineer - Solar Construction

  • Comply with EHS policies and address noncompliance
  • Perform and document EHS and QAQC inspections
  • Assist in managing field operations and engineering processes
  • Generate and manage project submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and material certifications
  • Perform inspections on received materials and maintain document control
  • Assist with daily finance functions including Penta, OnBase, Change Orders and Project Buyout
  • Maintain daily project tracking and manage photos and reports
  • Collect and input quantity tracking for self-perform and subcontractor work
  • Assist Project Superintendent with new hire paperwork and field inspections
  • Participate in all daily huddles

Requirements For Field Engineer - Solar Construction

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Renewable Engineering, Engineering or related fields
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite with strong proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Previous internship in solar and/or construction management highly desired
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate to project sites
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
