CS Energy is a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) renewable energy company seeking a Field Engineer for solar construction projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to work on renewable energy projects, primarily on the East Coast of the United States. The role involves working alongside Project Operations and Field Management teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and profitable project delivery.

The position requires hands-on involvement in various aspects of solar construction projects, including shop drawings, submittals, scheduling, quality checks, and field operations. The Field Engineer will be based 100% onsite at construction locations, primarily in the Northeast and Southeast regions, with regular travel and temporary relocations near project sites.

This role serves as an excellent stepping stone for career advancement into Project Management, Estimating, and Construction Management. Responsibilities For Field Engineer - Solar Construction

  • Assist in managing field operations and ensuring engineering processes are followed
  • Generate and manage project submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and material certifications
  • Perform inspections on received materials and maintain document control
  • Assist with daily finance functions including Penta, OnBase, Change Orders and Project Buyout
  • Maintain daily updates through project tracker
  • Collect and input quantity tracking for self-perform and subcontractor work
  • Attend and participate in daily huddles
  • Assist Project Superintendent with new hire paperwork and field inspections

Requirements For Field Engineer - Solar Construction

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Renewable Engineering, Engineering or related fields
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite with strong proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Previous internship in solar and/or construction management highly desired
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate to project sites
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
