Platform Engineer

CSIT, an agency under Singapore's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on cloud infrastructure and services. This role combines platform engineering, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies to modernize platform services and solutions.

The position requires a strong foundation in IT architecture, System Design, Application & System Integration, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering. As a Platform Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of researching and implementing cutting-edge cloud technologies while optimizing platform services for enhanced delivery, performance, and reliability.

Your responsibilities will span from designing and implementing infrastructure platforms to monitoring system telemetry and collaborating with various stakeholders. You'll play a crucial role in documenting configurations, identifying areas for improvement, and researching emerging technologies to enhance the platform.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in various scripting languages and frameworks, including Python, Terraform, and Linux shell scripts, is essential. Knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with DevOps practices are crucial for success in this role.
