Description For Data Engineer

Culture Amp is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Better Data team within the Data Intelligence Camp. As part of this role, you will lead the design and build of data pipelines for analytics products, ensure pipeline performance and observability, optimize schemas and queries, promote data best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders on data management. The ideal candidate has experience with cloud data warehouses, SQL and Python skills, and ETL/ELT tooling. Experience with AWS tools and CI/CD is desirable. Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Lead the design and build of the data pipelines that underpin our analytics products
  • Ensure those pipelines are tested, performant and observable
  • Monitor end-user performance and optimise the schemas and queries
  • Play a key role in promoting data best practices across the team and camp
  • Support others to develop their own knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure responsible data management in line with privacy, security and compliance requirements

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift
  • Skills in modelling and querying data in SQL and Python
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tooling including DBT and Airflow
  • Desirable: experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, ideally within AWS cloud
  • Desirable: familiarity with AWS' data tools, including Athena, Glue, SageMaker, EMR
