Description For Data Engineer

Culture Amp, the leading employee experience platform serving 25 million employees globally, is seeking a Data Engineer for their Better Data team within the Data Intelligence Camp. This role focuses on enriching and curating data to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Clickhouse for real-time analytics.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing data pipelines that power analytics products, ensuring they meet high standards of performance and reliability. You'll work with cloud data warehouses, utilize Python and SQL for data modeling, and employ modern ETL/ELT tools like DBT and Airflow.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong collaborative skills, as you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. You should be passionate about solving customer problems, maintaining a pragmatic approach to engineering challenges, and promoting technical excellence within the team.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Lead the design and build of data pipelines for analytics products
  • Ensure pipelines are tested, performant and observable
  • Monitor end-user performance and optimize schemas and queries
  • Promote data best practices across the team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on data management, privacy, security and compliance

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift
  • Skills in modelling and querying data in SQL and Python
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tooling including DBT and Airflow
  • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (AWS) preferred
  • Familiarity with AWS data tools (Athena, Glue, SageMaker, EMR) preferred
