CX2 is a fast-growing, venture-backed defense technology company seeking a highly skilled Electronic Warfare Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, testing, and building Electronic Support (ES), Electronic Attack (EA), and/or Anti-jam features for communications, radar, and other RF systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and testing electronic warfare systems
- Conducting modeling and simulation for radio system performance
- Developing signal processing algorithms for electronic warfare applications
- Writing signal classification algorithms in GNU radio with COTS hardware
- Designing and optimizing antenna systems for electronic warfare platforms
- Utilizing frequency hopping and other counter-jamming techniques
- Performing modeling, system analysis, and troubleshooting
- Mentoring team members and helping generalists understand EW fundamentals
Qualifications:
- Experience with direction finding, geolocation, and signal sorting algorithms
- Experience with COTS software-defined radios and signal classification
- Performance modeling using tools like Matlab, Suppressor, or Brawler
- Knowledge of signal trackers, Kalman filters, and multi-int data fusion engines
- Experience with RF systems, including radar warning receivers and jammers
- Test and evaluation experience of RF systems
- Modeling & Simulation experience, including hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Real-time embedded software integration in C++, C#, VHDL, Python, or Haskell
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee)
