We're seeking a skilled Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This role combines advanced autonomous systems development with critical defense applications.

The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of designing and implementing sophisticated guidance algorithms for autonomous drone systems, working on everything from trajectory planning to terminal guidance and sensor integration. You'll be responsible for developing visual navigation systems for GPS-denied environments and creating robust control software for dynamic flight path adjustments.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in electronic warfare, combining expertise in autonomous systems, control theory, and real-time embedded systems. Responsibilities For Guidance, Navigation & Controls/GNC Engineer

  • Design and implement advanced guidance algorithms for autonomous drones
  • Develop and integrate visual navigation systems
  • Create and refine navigation and control software
  • Design and test autonomous homing algorithms
  • Collaborate on sensor fusion systems
  • Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and software-in-the-loop (SITL) testing
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams for system integration

Requirements For Guidance, Navigation & Controls/GNC Engineer

Python
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing GNC systems
  • Strong proficiency in guidance, navigation, and control algorithms
  • Expertise in C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink
  • Hands-on experience integrating GPS, IMUs, visual sensors, and RF-based systems
  • Familiarity with HITL and SITL frameworks
  • Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Must be U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirement)
