Senior Data Engineer

Dandy is transforming the massive ($200B) but antiquated dental industry. Backed by leading venture capital investors, we're on an ambitious mission to integrate and simplify every function of the dental practice through technology. We're building the operating system for every dental office in America, empowering dentists with technology, innovation, and world-class support.

As a Senior Data Engineer at Dandy, you'll:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and robust data systems across multiple business domains.
• Collaborate with data analysts, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of data infrastructure, from collection to storage.
• Implement tools for monitoring, automation, and self-service analytics.
• Develop clear documentation and promote best practices.
• Mentor junior data engineers and drive the overall vision for data infrastructure.
• Continuously improve systems and stay updated with emerging technologies.

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience in building scalable data infrastructure.
• Expertise in data orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow) and Python.
• Deep experience with data pipelines, DBT, and cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas.
• Customer-oriented approach and empathy for end users.
• Adaptability to work across different domains and shifting priorities.
