As a Platform Engineer (Frontend), you'll play a key role in our rapidly scaling technology organization. You'll design and build scalable systems and tooling to support our growing product engineering function, educate teams on frontend best practices, and create a delightful engineering experience for product teams.
Our stack includes TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, React/Redux, GraphQL, rsbuild, Playwright, Storybook, Sentry, Fullstory, Postgresql, GCP, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Chronosphere, Temporal, and Buildkite.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain infrastructure, systems, and tooling
- Focus on developer experience and productivity
- Work with and educate product teams on frontend best practices
- Author and contribute to internal libraries
- Collaborate with the design team on our design system
- Craft high-quality, maintainable code
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain high standards

- 5+ years of software engineering experience

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer II, Platform
- Develop and maintain infrastructure, systems, and tooling to support Dandy's products
- Focus on the developer experience and productivity across frontend applications
- Work with and educate product teams on frontend best practices, including accessibility and testing
- Author and contribute to internal libraries that emphasize intuitive interfaces and composability
- Work with the design team to improve the consistency and usages of our design system
- Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
- Reinvent an analog experience and disrupt a legacy industry through novel and scalable system design
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and other stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality
- Advocate for improvements to infrastructure quality, security, and performance
- Recognize impediments to team efficiency and propose/implement solutions
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer II, Platform
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high growth startup environment
- Expertise in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Strong familiarity with build tools and package managers (e.g., webpack, esbuild, vite, rsbuild, npm, yarn)
- Experience improving, maintaining and debugging frontend infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code platforms (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Experience creating and maintaining automated CI/CD build processes for multiple environments
- A collaborative, pragmatic, and growth-oriented mindset
- The ability to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems
- Experience with performance and optimization problems
- Comfort working in a highly agile, iterative software development process
- Self-motivated, self-managing and takes ownership, with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a remote-first organization
