This role is crucial in designing and building scalable infrastructure to support our growing product engineering function.
Our tech stack includes TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, React/Redux, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, GCP, Kubernetes, Pulumi, and more. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure, systems, and tooling while ensuring security and performance. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software engineering experience, deep expertise in GCP and Kubernetes, and strong observability skills.
Working in a remote-first environment, you'll collaborate with Product Engineers and stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer II, SRE
- Develop and maintain infrastructure, systems, and tooling to support Dandy's products
- Reinvent an analog experience through novel and scalable system design
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and other stakeholders
- Advocate for improvements to infrastructure quality, security, and performance
- Craft code that meets internal standards for style and maintainability
- Recognize impediments to efficiency and implement solutions
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer II, SRE
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in high growth startup environment
- Expert in Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine
- Strong observability/monitoring experience
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and growth-oriented mindset
- Clear and concise communication about complex technical problems
- Experience with performance and optimization problems
- Comfort working in a highly agile, iterative software development process
- Self-motivated, self-managing and takes ownership
