Dangote Group is seeking an experienced HEMM Maintenance Engineer to join their operations team in Obajana, Nigeria. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of heavy equipment through routine maintenance and repairs. The position involves leading a team of technicians and supervisors while managing the maintenance of various heavy mobile mining machinery from manufacturers like CAT, Komatsu, Doosan, and Liebherr.
The ideal candidate will bring 12-15 years of extensive experience in engine overhauling and maintenance, combined with strong technical expertise in SAP PM functionalities. Responsibilities For Engineer, HEMM Maintenance
- Lead engine overhauling technicians & supervisor team
- Perform independent overhauling of excavators, loaders, dozers, rock breakers, dumpers engines
- Diagnose and rectify engine operational faults
- Handle overhauling and repair of approximately 100 engines
- Manage SAP PM functionalities
- Rebuild major components of engines
- Remove, install, disassemble, and assemble engines
- Conduct performance tests and make necessary adjustments
- Prepare parts requirements for overhauling engines
- Forecast parts requirements
- Provide knowledge transfer to technicians and supervisors
Requirements For Engineer, HEMM Maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 12-15 years experience in overhauling Komatsu, CAT, Doosan, Cummins, Scania, Detroit, Liebherr engines
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance of plant heavy equipment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good networking and teaming skills
