Engineer, HEMM Maintenance

Dangote Group is seeking an experienced Engineer for HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) Maintenance to join their operations team in Obajana, Nigeria. This senior-level position requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance and engine overhauling.

The role involves leading a team of technicians and supervisors while managing the maintenance of various heavy mobile mining machinery including excavators, loaders, dozers, and dumpers from manufacturers like CAT, Komatsu, Doosan, and Liebherr. The successful candidate will be responsible for engine diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs, handling approximately 100 engines while ensuring safe operating conditions.

Key responsibilities include managing SAP PM functionalities, rebuilding major engine components, performing diagnostic tests, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies. The position requires strong technical expertise combined with leadership abilities to effectively transfer knowledge to team members.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance. They should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in data analysis.
