Description For Mechanical Engineer - Cement Industry

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team within the Cement Industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machinery operates at optimum levels, contributing to our commitment to quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and an unwavering commitment to safety, as we strive to lead not just in market share, but also in sustainable practices and employee welfare.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the routine mechanical maintenance and repair of equipment in a particular section
  • Develop efficient and effective short and long term maintenance programs for section under him
  • Coordinate regular inspections, assessments and adjustments, if necessary to ensure optimum operations
  • Plan, organise and schedule maintenance inspections, assessments and evaluations including spare part audits
  • Ensure that safety precautions are followed in installation, maintenance and working of mechanical element of the section
  • Operate computerised maintenance management systems for the effective maintenance of the section under him
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager, Mechanical Maintenance from time to time

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of nine (9) years work experience in cement plant operations
  • In-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance in cement plant
  • Very good knowledge of safety standards as required by laws and regulations
  • Excellent time management, planning and scheduling skills
  • Very good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Very good oral, written communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient in the use of SAP & Microsoft Office
