Description For MIPS Engineer

The Dangote Group is seeking a MIPS Engineer to join their team in Okpella, Nigeria. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the maintenance and integration of mechanical, instrumentation, and process systems within the plant. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in MIPS or similar engineering roles.

As a MIPS Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance and reliability of all mechanical and instrumentation systems, implement maintenance strategies, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You'll also be responsible for maintaining documentation, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in maintenance management software, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in engineering is essential.

Responsibilities For MIPS Engineer

  • Oversee the maintenance and reliability of all mechanical and instrumentation systems

Requirements For MIPS Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in MIPS or similar engineering roles
  • Professional certification in relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Management) is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in engineering
