Responsibilities For AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS-based solutions for scalability, availability, and performance
- Managing and optimizing existing cloud environments hosted within the DoD CloudOne PaaS
- Applying AWS-native services and architectures to support development and sustainment
- Building, maintaining, and optimizing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Integrating automated testing and monitoring within pipelines
- Enhancing build, deployment, and release processes
- Designing and managing Docker-based containerization strategies
- Ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of containerized solutions
- Working closely with cross-functional Agile teams
- Continuously monitoring and adapting processes
- Providing support and enhancements across four environments hosted in CloudOne
- Collaborating with stakeholders to manage environment configuration, security, and sustainment needs
Requirements For AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer
- 5+ years of professional experience in AWS architecture and engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Extensive knowledge of Docker containers and containerization technologies
- Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Proficiency in CI/CD design, implementation, and management using Jenkins
- Expertise in containerized environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
- Strong familiarity with DoD CloudOne PaaS infrastructure and guidelines
- Ability to manage multi-environment hosting platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent (desired)
- AWS certifications (desired)
- Prior experience working in DoD or regulated cloud environment (desired)
