Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical applications on the DoD CloudOne Platform-as-a-Service. This senior role combines cloud architecture expertise with DevOps practices, requiring deep knowledge of AWS services, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies in a defense-sector environment, managing and optimizing four distinct CloudOne environments. The role demands expertise in AWS architecture, Jenkins pipelines, Docker containerization, and Agile methodologies, making it ideal for a seasoned DevOps professional passionate about cloud infrastructure and security.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable AWS solutions, implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the security and reliability of containerized applications. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, applying best practices in cloud deployment and DevOps principles to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
This hybrid position, based out of Herndon, VA, offers competitive compensation between $150,000-$200,000, depending on experience. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, reflecting its importance in supporting critical infrastructure. Responsibilities For AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based solutions for scalability, availability, and performance
- Manage and optimize existing cloud environments hosted within the DoD CloudOne PaaS
- Apply AWS-native services and architectures to support development and sustainment
- Build, maintain, and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate automated testing and monitoring within pipelines
- Enhance build, deployment, and release processes
- Design and manage Docker-based containerization strategies
- Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of containerized solutions
- Work with cross-functional Agile teams
- Monitor and adapt processes to maximize team efficiency
- Provide support across four environments hosted in CloudOne
- Collaborate with stakeholders on environment configuration and security
Requirements For AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer
- 5+ years of professional experience in AWS architecture and engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Extensive knowledge of Docker containers and containerization technologies
- Extensive knowledge of ECS-based infrastructure
- Deep understanding of AWS services and best practices
- Proficiency in CI/CD design using Jenkins
- Expertise in containerized environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
- Strong familiarity with DoD CloudOne PaaS infrastructure
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent (desired)
- AWS certifications (desired)
- Experience in DoD cloud environment (desired)
