This role focuses on network infrastructure management and requires extensive experience in network engineering. The position involves designing, installing, testing, and maintaining network assets while providing top-tier support for storage systems and network operations. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience and strong knowledge of various networking technologies. The role requires on-site presence and offers a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000. Key responsibilities include network asset management, system troubleshooting, and maintaining network operations centers. Responsibilities For Network Engineer (Journeyman)

  • Conducting and assisting with the installation, testing, and sustainment of all network assets
  • Identifying system problems due to system component connections
  • Providing engineering support for the network systems
  • Performing bi-weekly tests and document components for communications architectures
  • Assisting with installation design and implementation of new cabling, equipment, and associated hardware/software
  • Supporting administration of network storage arrays and Email Archiving System
  • Delivering support for Command Storage Area Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches
  • Managing network management systems including primary and secondary backup network operations
  • Maintaining network management systems using in-band and out-of-band methods
  • Being on site at Quantico base 75% of the time

Requirements For Network Engineer (Journeyman)

  • 6 years of applicable experience in network engineering at Journeyman-level
  • Knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies
  • Experience in Storage Area Networking (FC, FCOE)
  • Experience in Network Attached Storage (CIFS, NFS, ISCSI)
  • Experience with Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS)
  • DoD 8570 compliance at IAT Level II as set forth in DODD 8140
  • Open to 25% travel
  • HS Diploma
  • US Citizenship and active Secret clearance or Top Secret with SCI eligibility
