As the Lead Propulsion Engineer, you will:
- Ensure coherence of Dark's analyses and developments in combustion, fluidics, and chemical engine design
- Select appropriate strategies to fit the spacecraft development roadmap
- Lead the propulsion team and articulate activities and test milestones
- Specify propulsion systems and subsystems
- Guarantee performance and reliability of developed systems
- Interface with other teams and subcontractors
- Drive design studies, validations, and tests from concept to hardware
- Conduct design reviews and write technical documentation
- Contribute to internal engineering standards, processes, and tools
- Mentor and train team members
We're looking for someone with:
- 10+ years of experience in a similar position
- Background from the Defense / Aerospace industry
- Expertise in space propulsion or aerospace systems
- Knowledge of industrial project phases, combustion processes, and design/numerical modelling/testing correlations
- Ability to work in a highly iterative environment
- Hands-on experience with rocket engines and/or space propulsion (a plus)
- Technical English proficiency (French fluency is a plus)
