As a Navigation Engineer, you'll be integral to developing crucial navigation capabilities for orbital rendezvous and proximity operations. Working closely with system and program teams, you'll refine and evolve our navigation system, pushing the boundaries of performance. Your role encompasses the complete development cycle, from initial design to integrated testing, ensuring robust performance in demanding space environments.

The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology, with responsibilities including algorithm development, sensor fusion, and system integration. You'll collaborate with hardware subcontractors, lead testing initiatives, and ensure compliance with rigorous space industry standards.

Responsibilities For Navigation Engineer

  • Develop and integrate navigation & sensor fusion algorithms
  • Support modeling and integration of navigation/localization needs for simulation platform
  • Maintain contact with navigation hardware subcontractors
  • Lead development of test plans and aid in navigation systems V&V testing
  • Ensure system compliance with safety, performance, and efficiency standards
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation related to navigation activities

Requirements For Navigation Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience working on navigation systems design
  • Background from Defense/Aerospace industry
  • Experience with absolute navigation sensors (IMUs, GNSS Receivers, Magnetometers, Star Trackers)
  • Experience with relative navigation sensors (LiDAR's, visible range/IR cameras)
  • Strong foundation in Linear Algebra, Statistics & Probability, Estimation Theory, System Dynamics & Control
  • Structured and highly autonomous work style
  • Ability to convey technical knowledge clearly
  • Technical English required, French is a plus
