Datacom is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for their Canberra location to join their Managed Operations team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive end-user IT support services to Datacom's customers. The position involves managing hardware deployment, technical support, and infrastructure maintenance in a customer-facing environment.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring excellent technical support delivery, managing IT equipment setup and deployment, and maintaining customer infrastructure according to service level agreements. The role requires strong technical knowledge of desktop systems, laptops, and various IT equipment, combined with exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities For Desktop Support Engineer - Canberra

  • Providing excellent technical support in a high-paced environment
  • Assisting new users with IT hardware collection and setup
  • Ensuring new equipment are up to date and deployment ready
  • Recording all customer contacts in the appropriate ITSM tool
  • Keeping commitments to customers with progress updates

Requirements For Desktop Support Engineer - Canberra

Linux
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Exceptional customer experience with end user services
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet service level agreements
  • Sound knowledge of Laptops, Desktop PCs, printers, media and audio-visual equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management
