The role involves hands-on technical support, hardware and software management, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

The position requires strong technical expertise in desktop support, combined with exceptional customer service skills. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where you'll handle various responsibilities from equipment deployment to infrastructure maintenance. The role demands an Australian Citizen who can obtain AGSVA Baseline clearance.

Responsibilities For Desktop Support Engineer

  • Providing excellent technical support in a high-paced environment
  • Assisting new users with IT hardware collection and setup
  • Ensuring new equipment are up to date and deployment ready
  • Recording all customer contacts in the appropriate ITSM tool
  • Keeping commitments to customers with progress updates
  • Using tools and processes to deliver services according to SLAs
  • Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure
  • Initiate and drive service and process improvement

Requirements For Desktop Support Engineer

Linux
  • Exceptional customer experience with end user services
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet service level agreements
  • Sound knowledge of Laptops, Desktop PCs, printers, media and audio-visual equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline clearance
