Description For Endpoint Compliance Engineer

Datacom is seeking an Endpoint Compliance Engineer to join their Intelligent Workspace business line. This role offers an excellent technical opportunity within a collaborative team environment across various locations in Australia. The position focuses on providing endpoint vulnerability management and risk mitigation services to their managed customer base.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in End User Support and endpoint security. Key responsibilities include managing automated monthly patching of operating systems, Tier 0 and 1 application security patching, advanced desktop and application analytics, and antivirus console management.

Responsibilities For Endpoint Compliance Engineer

  • Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs and ensure endpoint devices are regularly updated
  • Proactively manage and maintain customer security profile with regard to standard endpoint management processes
  • Initiate and drive service and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve customer service
  • Own personal development, by maintaining certifications relevant to the role
  • Engaging collaboratively with internal and external parties
  • Proactively contribute to the team and Datacom's success

Requirements For Endpoint Compliance Engineer

  • Australian Citizenship required
  • 5+ years experience in the IT industry, preferably within an IT outsourced environment
  • Advanced End User Support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of hardware and software vendors support processes
  • Experience with SCCM, Intune, Windows 7, 8 and 10
  • Exposure to AV tools and consoles
  • Deep understanding of the ASD 'Essential 8' and endpoint security mitigation approaches
