Description For QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Datacom, an IT services company with over 6,200 people across Australasia, is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. Founded in 1965 in New Zealand, Datacom has a strong presence in Malaysia and the Philippines, delivering innovative digital and technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, focusing on end-to-end (e2e) and integration testing. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining e2e tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, and Cucumber.
  2. Conducting integration testing with Jest and PACT.
  3. Designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  4. Assisting QA testers in upskilling on automation to enhance team capabilities.
  5. Performing testing on Micro Frontends (MFEs) and Serverless architectures, specifically with AWS Lambda.

The role requires proven experience in e2e and integration testing, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions), ability to mentor QA testers, and experience in testing MFEs and Serverless architectures. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
