Description For Senior SOE Engineer

Datacom is seeking a Senior SOE Engineer to join their Endpoint Engineering team. The role involves managing day-to-day operations of customer endpoint systems and engaging in project work. Key responsibilities include:

Managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune
Working with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Managing Active Directory and Group Policy
Scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
Windows 10 task sequencing and endpoint configuration
Large-scale software deployments
Maintaining and enhancing environment-wide configurations
Ensuring customer satisfaction
Identifying service improvements and efficiencies
Following ITIL processes
Performing hardware and OS upgrades
Maintaining desktop OS images
Leading projects
Documenting designs, how-tos, and environment reports

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years of IT industry experience
5 years in a similar Senior SOE Engineer role
Exceptional knowledge of Windows Modern Desktop technologies
Strong skills in endpoint management platforms
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
Ability to work autonomously

Responsibilities For Senior SOE Engineer

Manage day-to-day operations of customer endpoint systems
Engage in project work and act as project lead when required
Maintain, upgrade, and enhance environment-wide configurations
Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction
Identify service improvements, efficiencies, and cost reductions for customers
Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to ITIL processes
Perform upgrades on hardware and operating systems
Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images
Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation

Requirements For Senior SOE Engineer

5+ years of IT industry experience
5 years in a similar Senior SOE Engineer role
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including Intune
Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
Exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
