Systems Engineer

Datacom is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. The role involves providing proactive and reactive support services to maintain the availability, reliability & security of customers' core infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing assigned work, engaging with clients, multi-tasking between varied client environments, and following ITIL service delivery framework. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in support roles, and technical expertise in unified communications, security infrastructure, and virtualization. Role Responsibilities:

• Provide global customer support, collaborating with colleagues
• Manage workload and provide proactive support and updates
• Follow ITIL service delivery framework processes
• Manage open tickets until closure
• Meet SLAs and escalate when necessary
• Contribute to service development
• Continuously develop knowledge, skills & certifications

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Purview, Defender
• Support experience with Symantec End Point Protection
• Vendor escalation experience (Microsoft, Broadcom)
• ITIL v3 or v4 certification (ideal)
• Microsoft certification (ideal)
• VMware certification (VCA or VCP level, v7 or v8 ideal)

Additional Desirable Skills:

• Experience with ITSM platforms (Cherwell, Service Now)
• Knowledge of ScienceLogic (SL1), Bigfix, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with VMware, Citrix XenApp/CVAD, Citrix NetScaler, Nutanix, Hyper-V
