Description For Manager 1, Technical Support Engineering (Boston)

Datadog, the leading monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, is seeking a Manager 1, Technical Support Engineering to join their team in Boston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a fast-paced team of Solutions Engineers who are at the forefront of Datadog's worldwide growth.

As a Manager 1, you'll be responsible for managing, developing, and mentoring a team that responds to client requests, troubleshoots issues, and works with Datadog's extensive range of integrations. You'll ensure successful onboarding of new team members, help triage Solutions Engineering queues, and work closely with Product and Engineering teams on urgent matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing demo training and assisting in demo certification
  • Reviewing and prioritizing Solutions Engineering escalations
  • Assisting with incident response during outages/incidents
  • Building out documentation and knowledge base articles

The ideal candidate is passionate about people management and mentorship, with previous team leadership experience. You should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a desire for continuous learning. Critical thinking skills and a client-centric approach are essential, along with some programming experience and basic knowledge of Linux.

Datadog offers a competitive salary range of $101,000 - $147,000 USD, along with equity packages including RSUs and an employee stock purchase plan.
