Decathlon is seeking a Senior BI Engineer (Tableau Software) for their Data for Traceability team based in Lille or Paris. As part of a 5-person team, you'll be responsible for collaborating with business teams, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to identify opportunities for improving visualization products. You'll create automated, high-performance visualization tools for recurring KPI analysis, propose relevant views, ensure data storytelling, model datasets for efficient visualizations, explore data to identify appropriate KPIs and calculation methods, ensure user adoption, and mentor team members.
Technical environment:
- Visualization: Tableau software
- Data-platform: Amazon Web Services, Databricks, Glue, S3
- Programming: SQL
- Data orchestration: Airflow
- Data modeling: dbt
- Software Delivery: Git, Github, Make
- Documentation and tracking: Confluence, JIRA
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a BI Engineer with Tableau (Tableau certification is a plus)
- Knowledge of visualization technologies and best practices for development and performance
- Excellent ability to use visuals to communicate data-based information
- Strong service orientation, curiosity, and proactivity to understand business needs
- Understanding of the data lifecycle, familiarity with data lineage and governance concepts
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Good level of English
- Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment
