Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Deel is seeking a Backend Engineer (Node.js) to join their global team. As a Backend Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless experiences, participate in product planning, and develop robust features and APIs. You'll work on enhancing Deel's industry-leading products that enable companies to hire talent worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals
• Participating in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Developing new features and APIs
• Ensuring top-tier products through quality engineering and customer-focused development

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Expertise in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Experience in designing scalable systems and optimizing for high-volume performance
• Skilled in API development
• At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer
