Principal Systems Engineer

Deel is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their IT Department, reporting to the Director of IT. This role will work in the EMEA time zone (GMT +2) and will be crucial in handling executive requests, troubleshooting ticket escalations, and streamlining IT operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling executive requests and troubleshooting ticket escalations
• Planning and configuring new software purchases
• Conducting app rationalization to minimize overall application administration
• Maximizing IT team efficiency by streamlining recurring IT tasks
• Configuring and maintaining role-based access control following least privileged access model
• Automating custom requests (e.g., Slack channel management, Slack-Jira integration)
• Integrating IdP with software using various methods (SAML, SCIM, API, Webhooks)
• Ensuring systems adhere to information security best practices and internal controls

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years of experience as a Staff/Principal System Engineer, Automation Engineer, or DevOps Engineer
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCS, CompTIA, Okta, Google)
• Experience in designing, integrating, and configuring IT systems cross-functionally
• Deep understanding of custom API scripts, Identity Providers (especially Okta), software integrations, Mac OS, MDM software, and Jira configuration
