Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js + AWS)

Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js + AWS) to join their R&D Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a remote-first environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance features for their industry-leading products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals
• Participating in product planning throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
• Developing robust new features and APIs
• Ensuring top-tier products through quality engineering and customer-focused development

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Expertise in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Experience in designing scalable systems and optimizing for high-volume performance
• Skilled in API development, including security considerations
