DeepSource GmbH is seeking a Storage Resident Engineer specializing in PowerMax storage solutions to provide on-site support and technical expertise. This role focuses on managing and optimizing storage infrastructure while acting as a trusted advisor to clients. The position involves day-to-day management of PowerMax systems, troubleshooting, implementation of storage solutions, and ensuring best practices in data security. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in storage infrastructure management, strong expertise in Dell EMC PowerMax solutions, and excellent client-facing abilities. This is an on-site position located in Cairo, Egypt, with a one-year contract and possibility of extension. The role combines technical expertise with customer engagement, requiring both strong technical skills in storage systems and effective communication abilities. The position offers an opportunity to work with enterprise-level storage solutions while providing critical infrastructure support to key clients.
Responsibilities For Storage Resident Engineer - Storage
- Provide day-to-day management and administration of PowerMax storage systems
- Monitor and maintain storage performance, capacity, and availability
- Perform upgrades, patching, and firmware updates as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerMax and associated storage infrastructure
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware replacements and advanced technical support
- Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of storage solutions
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client's storage environment
- Provide regular updates and documentation, including reports on performance and system health
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend solutions to mitigate potential issues
Requirements For Storage Resident Engineer - Storage
- Proven experience with Dell EMC PowerMax storage solutions
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and backup solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience in storage infrastructure management
- Familiarity with VMware, Linux/Unix, and Windows environments
- Dell EMC certifications (preferred)
- ITIL or similar certifications (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
