DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead their private cloud infrastructure initiatives. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining private cloud environments with an emphasis on high availability, scalability, and performance. The position requires extensive expertise in private cloud technologies, virtualization platforms, and automation tools.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting and managing private cloud environments using technologies like VMware vSphere and OpenStack, implementing security best practices, and developing Infrastructure as Code solutions. They will work on optimizing compute, storage, and networking resources while ensuring robust disaster recovery solutions are in place.
This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and make significant contributions to the company's infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will be instrumental in implementing automation solutions and creating self-service portals for resource provisioning.
The position requires a strong technical background with at least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering. Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud solutions is highly valued. Responsibilities For Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
- Design, deploy, and maintain private cloud environments
- Architect and manage private cloud environments such as VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, or OpenStack
- Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources
- Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Manage virtualized infrastructure and resource allocation
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management
- Oversee private cloud operations, performance, and uptime
- Maintain VCD stack with upgrades, patches, and backups
- Monitor system health and resolve performance/scalability issues
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate deployments
- Create self-service portals for resource provisioning
Requirements For Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, or OpenStack
- Strong understanding of storage solutions (SAN, NAS, vSAN) and networking concepts
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerCLI
- Hands-on experience with private cloud monitoring tools
- 5+ years of experience in private cloud infrastructure engineering
- Proven track record of managing large-scale private cloud environments
- Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud integration (preferred)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (preferred)
- Relevant certifications like VMware Certified Professional, RHCE, or Azure Administrator Associate (preferred)
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for service management (preferred)
